Michael Ramsey

“Reason is an action of the mind; knowledge is a possession of the mind; but faith is an attitude of the person. It means you are prepared to stake yourself on something being so.”

Life is a mystery! Everything in the universe is a mystery! Faith and the present moment are all we have.

    MY TEN ARTICLES OF FAITH

    (1) Sundry: Awareness of the present moment is the only reality. Everything else is social formation and myth-making. Mythology is different from theory because mythology makes “me” a part of the story.

Ode to immortality: I am an unseen spiritual Awareness: a perfect, intelligent speck of infinite energy that controls consciousness. My body and mind and consciousness are imperfect and mortal; I am not.

All descriptions of reality are temporary hypotheses.
    — Buddha

    We are surrounded by MYSTERY!

    (2) Carl Jung: As to the ultimate things we can know nothing, and only when we admit this do we return to equilibrium.

    (3) Mahatma Gandhi: God is life, light, truth and love.

    (4) Joseph Benner: “Be still! — and KNOW — I AM — God.”

    (5) Blaise Pascal: All human misery is the result of one’s inability to remain quietly in a room.

    (6) Blaise Pascal: Either you believe in God or you don’t — I believe in God.

    (7) Robert Diehl: I am spirit; I am God.

    (8) John Wheeler: Before you think, you are.

    (9) John Wheeler: Your actual nature is being, Awareness and peace.

    (10) Joseph Benner: Feel the presence of God.

Summary: Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all blessings shall be added unto you. Everyone is holy. Praise ye the Almighty! Amen.
